Hi all! Here’s what we’ve got coming up! We broke it into 2 sections for ease of reading – cos there is quite a lot of stuff to tell!!

CARDIFF, NEWPORT etc

7th Sept – Emo Free Zone at the Meze Lounge, Newport - For one night only, a gig that will be completely free of any Emo music! We’re playing, Mr Maggs are playing (who are awesome!) and the night will be opened by a ’secret band’, oooooh! Dont miss this one, its gonna be a blinder! ALREADY HAPPENED – T’WAS MOST PLEASANT TOO…

21st Sept – Secret gig in the woods!
– This is an annual event that takes place in a big tent in a secret location in the woods, kind of like Bohemian Grove but without all the wierd stuff! For those of who know what it is, we’ll see ya there! The gig will also be made into a Dvd for the rest of you! DATE CHANGED TO THE 23RD

23rd – TJ’S GIG CANCELLED, READ ABOVE.

6 Oct – Live Dvd shoot at the Salisbury in Ferndale! We’re having the gig filmed so the more of you that come & make loads of noise, the better (you might even get on the Dvd!!).

12th Oct – Callaghans, Cardiff – Again, a venue we haven’t graced in quite some time! As followers of the band know, we dont get to play Cardiff much due to us not being part of the ‘Scarf rock clique’, so come & check us out at Callaghans, you never know how long it might be till the next one!!

LONDON

9th Sept – Lark in the Park, Islington – We’re playing with a pile of other bands (8 in total!!) and we’re on last but 2 – about 9:30. Saturday night, a great venue & great value for money! We’ll see ya there then! ALSO ALREADY HAPPENED NOW, SORRY, YOU MISSED OUT!

8th Oct – Lark in the Park, Islington (again!) - 12 hour gig for Oxfam! – Basically, we start playing at 1pm and finish when we fall over. We will be playing no pre-prepared material, all music will be completely improvised & all money collected on the door will go to Oxfam. Come & show some support – well, what else you gonna do on a Sunday afternoon?

25th Oct – G LOUNGE GIG CANCELLED DUE TO BIRTHGIVING ACTIVITIES, NOT MINE.

Nice one
James

Well, boy have we got some news for you!

In a crazy moment of spontanaity last night, we (Kyshera) decided on a complete change of course for the band. Firstly, we are changing our name to The Graduates & have had a complete change of line up! James, Joe & Carl will now be solely in charge of the writing aspect of the band but will not actually be ‘in’ the band as such. On vocals is now the gorgeous & raunchy Amber Cline & the rest of the line-up is yet to be wholly confirmed but will consist of Guitar, Bass, Drums & Keyboard – anyone interested should mail the band at info@kyshera.com.

Prospective members should all be between the ages of 20 & 21, should have a good grasp of current fashion & be able to play to alteast an amateur level. Please send a photo & brief description of yourself.

Musically, the new material is going to be more in the vein of Avril Lavigne but with a UK edge! We have already contacted various companies for sponsorship & we are prepared to endorse any product that will pay for our new venture – we are also arranging a tour of schools & colleges to begin in the new year!

We are really excited about this & know that you will be too! This is so fresh that we cant really tell you much more about it as yet but watch this space for details as they come in!

Thanks again for all your support & keep rocking kids!

Hello all, how are you doing – yes we are still alive, we’ve just been busy, busy…

Since the last time we spoke, a lot has happened :

We had two great launch parties! – thanks to everyone that came along to the gigs at the Borderline & Clwb Ifor Bach, there were a few problems with showing the video but a great night was still had by all & both nights were a great success! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did – photos will be posted on our myspace page sooooon…

Once again, we played the mighty Guilfest along with Supergrass, Morcheeba & Madness, which was much, much madness especially after a jam packed gig at the Cardiff Barfly supporting the awesome Sal (www.saltheband.com – new EP just released, featuring Kyshera’s very own Mr Kennedy as a ’stalked man’ in the artwork!) – and a few weeks ago we played the Welsh Motorcycle Show for the first time which was definately one of our best gigs ever! Playing alongside the mighty First Among Equals (www.firstamongequals.co.uk), with the Scissor Sisters’ Lighting & PA rig on a stage that could be described as a ‘tad on the large side’ & an all round great atmosphere & audience – this was certainly a gig to remember (except for James cutting his head open on the Bassdrum during Mannequins!). Thanks to Steve for getting us the slot!

Kyshera were also recently listed as the number 1 band to see at Cardiffs Festival 24 in the Western Mail – hope we didn’t disappoint!

The release date for ‘Superstar’ has been changed yet again until further notice – sorry to keep you hanging but there are a few administrative issues to iron out before we can set the new date! When we know, you guys will be the first to find out! We have taken a bit of a break from gigging until we have sorted the release but keep an eye on our Myspace page as dates will be coming in & once we have a release date for the single we will be playing here, there & everywhere!

So thats what we’ve been upto – you’ll be seeing a lot more of us soon, we promise but in the meantime don’t forget that our videos, pics & music can be found on our Myspace page & feel free to drop us a line & stay in touch! We’ll keep you posted as things progress & will see you all sooooooooooon!!!!!!!
